Scroll through the requirement cards. Each context changes the questions to put to prospective factories; none represents a proven performance result.
Dry seedbed preparation
Specify soil texture, clod condition, residue and target cultivation depth. Ask for basket diameter, rod arrangement, bearing protection and adjustment range. Compare the finish through an agreed demonstration or acceptance sample of the operation, not a brochure image.
Moist or adhesive soil
Rolling baskets may require different cleaning and pressure arrangements when soil adheres. Ask how the manufacturer defines operating limits, clearing access and maintenance requirements. The buyer's agronomist should assess whether the planned pass suits the actual moisture condition.
Residue-heavy fields
Record residue type and previous field operations. Confirm shank spacing, rank arrangement and under-frame clearance from drawings. Additional finishing equipment changes overall length, transport envelope and lifting or drawbar loads.
Smaller field entrances
Record gate and access dimensions separately from working width. A nominal field width says little about folded transport size, road movement or turning needs. Ask the supplier for the precise transport configuration and buyer-side unloading requirements.
