12 foot field cultivator specification review

A nominal width is a starting dimension. Use this resource index to request the frame drawing, tractor compatibility, sweep schedule and receiving documents for the exact quoted configuration.

12 ft

Nominal working width

12 ft equals 3.6576 m as a unit conversion, not a verified machine dimension. Ask how the quoted working width is measured, then obtain the outer dimensions and transport width on a labeled drawing. Keep these values separate.

hp / kW

Power and draft suitability

Record engine power, tractor model, intended depth and soil conditions. Request the supplier's compatibility basis. PTO horsepower applies to powered attachments; the draft requirement of a passive cultivator is a different question.

mm / in

Sweep and shank fit

Capture sweep width, bolt-hole centers, hole diameter, fastener specification and shank profile. For field cultivator parts, obtain a revision-controlled drawing or measured sample. Similar names do not establish mounting compatibility.

Receiving and wear package

Separate complete frames, finishing attachments and spare kits. State required labeling, packing and inspection evidence by line. MOQ, material, quantity and document scope need the same basis in every offer.

Documents to request from the quoting factory

No supplier manual or downloadable white paper has been verified for this site. Use the document requests below to obtain model-specific material; the on-page worksheet is available above.

  • Dimensioned frame and attachment drawing

Request working and transport envelope, hitch connection, implement mass, shank spacing and hydraulic interface. Record document revision and which optional equipment it covers. Request this document with your inquiry →

  • Parts schedule and maintenance instructions

Ask for sweep mounting, bearing identifiers, replacement intervals as supplier recommendations, grease points and safe clearing instructions. Confirm whether replacements are standard or proprietary. Add parts documentation to your brief →

  • Configuration and acceptance checklist

Compare the delivered equipment with the approved drawing, quantity and spare kit. A proposed demonstration must record tractor, soil moisture, depth and speed, plus the agreed assessment method. Photographs alone do not verify suitability.

Technical decision gates

  1. Before comparing factory replies

Fix working width, power or capacity class and implement interface. Standardized sweep patterns can simplify replacement; proprietary designs may offer a requested geometry but increase dependence on a specific supply source. Ask for equivalent-part documentation before accepting either route.

  2. Before accepting an alternative

Compare a base frame and a rolling-basket package by weight, finish target, service access and total delivered scope. A premium or budget-friendly preference does not prove material quality. Request material declarations and a dimensional check where relevant.

  3. Before shipment and receiving

Confirm packing, unloading, parts labels and destination-specific documents with the supplier and your relevant adviser. Do not assume a document for another market settles US requirements. This worksheet provides procurement questions, not a regulatory approval or engineering design.

The locked procurement checklist records the requirement vocabulary and its source boundary. Continue to the inquiry catalog when the configuration is clear.
