Keep replacement parts identifiable
For field cultivator parts, send the exact part function and mounting details. Sweep width alone cannot establish compatibility. Record bolt-hole centers, hole diameter, fastener requirements, shank profile and the reference drawing or existing part identifier. State quantities per part and whether a matched fastener kit is needed. Photos can orient the discussion, but supplier-confirmed dimensions settle the proposed fit.
For complete equipment, identify tractor model and engine power in hp or kW, working width and depth, crop or farming application, soil condition and intended finishing attachment. Distinguish a three-point hitch from a drawbar connection. Ask for lifting or drawbar requirements, machine mass and any hydraulic connections for the exact configuration. Fuel, electrical and PTO requirements must be stated where applicable; a passive frame does not automatically need PTO drive.
Compare standard and specialized options
A standard sweep pattern may simplify replacement sourcing. A specialized geometry may suit a specific field task, but can change the spare-parts plan. Ask for material specification and supporting documents, then confirm whether alternative parts retain mounting and working geometry. A lower unit price is not meaningful when material, quantity, packing or included fasteners differ.
Catalog cards describe RFQ options, not stocked SKUs or confirmed supplier products. No price, material grade, lead time or certification is implied. Ask factories to list MOQ, sample cost, packing, quote currency, validity and exclusions. Compare equipment, spare kits, freight, taxes and support on the same destination basis. A sample sweep can help check fit; it does not validate an entire cultivator's field performance.
